Requirements: Communication (Performance) Focus

Your songs can sway the crowd and inspire greatness or failure.
Note : For each DEGREE of this TALENT you learn two songs from the list below. You can learn additional songs during your travels and adventures if you find someone to teach you.

Novice : Singing a song takes an audience and about 5 to 10 minutes of uninterrupted performance. The GM sets the TN depending on the circumstances and the interest of the audience. If successful, the song’s effect lingers on for a number of hours equal to the DEGREE OF SUCCESS. You can warn anyone in the audience prior to your performance to exclude them from the effect. Any person can only be affected by one song at a time; only the most recent song takes effect.

Journeyman : Your songs’ effects linger for an additional number of hours equal to your COMMUNICATION.

Master : When successfully singing a song, you can either double its effect, double the time it is lingering or choose the special MASTER effect (if one exists).

SONGS

  • SONG OF CAPTIVATION: The audience suffers a -1 penalty on all PERCEPTION tests
  • SONG OF COURAGE: The audience gains a +1 bonus to all WILLPOWER (Courage / Morale) tests
  • SONG OF COWARDICE: The audience suffers a -1 penalty to all WILLPOWER (Courage / Morale) tests
  • SONG OF DISCORD: Sows discontent and resentment in the audience. You and your allies gain a +1 bonus to COMMUNICATION tests to start a fight or incite rebellion in the audience
  • SONG OF DOUBT: The audience suffers a -1 penalty to all WILLPOWER (Self-Discipline / Faith) tests
  • SONG OF DREAD: The audience suffers a -1 penalty to either ATTACK or DAMAGE rolls (your choice). (MASTER: -1 to both ATTACK and DAMAGE rolls)
  • SONG OF EXCELLENCE: When engaged in tests, members of the audience gain a +1 bonus to all DEGREES OF SUCCESS (except STUNT POINT generation) (MASTER: including STUNT POINT generation)
  • SONG OF FRIENDSHIP: Calms an audience and makes them compliable. You and your allies gain a +1 bonus to COMMUNICATION tests to pacify the audience and gather information.
  • SONG OF MISHAP: When engaged in any tests, members of the audience gain a -1 penalty to all DEGREES OF SUCCESS (except STUNT POINT generation) (MASTER: including STUNT POINT generation)
  • SONG OF RESOLVE: The audience gains a +1 bonus to all WILLPOWER (Self-Discipline / Faith) tests
  • SONG OF VALOR: The audience gains a +1 bonus to either ATTACK or DAMAGE rolls (your choice). (MASTER: +1 to both ATTACK and DAMAGE rolls)
  • SONG OF VIGILANCE: The audience gains a +1 bonus on all PERCEPTION tests
